Rose Shaped Baked Apple Desert
My daughter and wife found this so I thought I’d give it a try.
Still in the oven but so far here is what I goofed up.
Rolled out the puff pastry dough and didn’t keep it cold enough and also not enough flour on the board. Did not cut the apples thin enough. Had to nuke them 2 minutes longer so they bend when you roll them up. Don’t forget to fold over dough onto apples after layering them. Yes I know, really stupid but I learned. Didn’t have enough apricot jelly so I subbed some ice wine jelly I found. (Don’t tell wifey).

Update: Sorry, can’t upload pic right now but they turned out pretty good. Here is another thing I would consider doing different. Bake it at least 10 minutes less. Especially if you use a dark colored pan or glass. This is not a very sweet desert. I added cinnamon suger after I took them out cause the little lady doesn’t like cinnamon on hers. The more you do this the better you will get. Don’t be afraid to screw up. Also use red apple. I only had Granny Smith. It was like looking at then in black and white. Still tasted good. See ya.
